Order Fulfillment Lead – 2nd Shift (1:00 PM – 9:00 PM) – Waunakee

Purpose and Objectives:

We are in search of an Order Fulfillment Lead for our Parcel Department in Waunakee. In this position you will report to the DC Manager and will be responsible for processing and packing RPS and UPS customer orders for shipping. The Order Fulfillment Lead must be comfortable working with online systems to include data entry, email, and internet. The ideal candidate must lead by example and display excellent communication skills.

2nd shift hours, Monday - Friday 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM with the flexibility to work OT

Essential/Specific Duties and Tasks:

  • Directs and oversees order fulfillment associates, machinery or equipment, work methods, raw materials and work environment in the Parcel Department.
  • Investigates and takes prompt action when problems related to safety, product quality and equipment failure occur.
  • Keeps the DC Manager informed of such incidents and makes recommendations to prevent similar problems from happening in the future.
  • Work the picking lines daily as needed and ensure orders are delivered to the packing floor in top condition.
  • Develop a working knowledge of all Order Fulfillment functions for all lines of business and assist as needed.
  • Cross-train employees in Parcel area to become more efficient.
  • Involved in understanding daily, weekly and monthly projections and how they will impact workflow through fulfillment.
  • Provide feedback to staff related to picking techniques of product/orders to ensure a quality product moves to the packing floor.
  • Responsible with assisting in the training of new and current employees to ensure quality and productivity goals are met or exceeded.
  • Create and enter order in RSS system.
  • Process FedEx, UPS and Dot.com orders.
  • Coordinate efforts with other teams in the DC
  • Performs a wide variety of jobs within fulfillment facility as needed.
  • Participates in routine testing or inspection activities as part of assembly or production process.
  • Evaluates area line operations and recommends improvements.
  • Participates in area meetings as needed.
  • Participates in training and development programs as required of the position.
  • Performs a variety of miscellaneous job-related tasks as may be assigned from time-to-time by a Management Representative.
  • Perform good housekeeping practices.

Qualifications:

  • Computer skills (i.e. Email, internet, Microsoft Word & Excel) required.
  • Familiarity with Syteline, RSS and SellerCloud is helpful.
  • Sense of Urgency.
  • Strong technical experience with the ability to quickly learn new programs and applications to support the operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull packages up to 75 pounds in weight.
  • Ability to work rapidly for long periods of time.
  • Ability to apply plastic wrap around palletized packages from floor level up to 77 inches.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing work environment.
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, write) in English.

Education: High School (diploma/GED) preferred.

Experience: 1-2 years’ experience in warehouse/distribution center environment and lead position preferred.
