Associate Product Designer (Hours are both in-office and remote)

As an Associate Product Designer, you’ll help transform ideas into products found in homes across North America. You’ll work alongside experienced designers and cross-functional teams through every stage of product development, from concept and sketching to sampling and launch.

Job Description:

As an Associate Product Designer, no two days are the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

  • Designing home décor in categories such as furniture, decorative shelving, cabinets, mirrors, frames, art, and accessories.
  • Research emerging consumer and home décor trends through trend subscriptions like WGSN, market visits, online research, and trend show attendance (domestic and overseas)
  • Prepare sketches, design briefs, and 3D renderings.
  • Follow projects from concept through production.
  • Meet timeline, quality and cost objectives.
  • Present ideas and product concepts.
  • Create product renderings and presentations.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Sourcing and Quality to bring products to market.
  • Review new product samples and communicate with overseas suppliers.
  • Help launch products sold by national retailers from concept to input for online photography and social media postings.

Qualification:

Required:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Design (Interiors, Fashion, Product, Graphics or other).
  • Experience through internships, academic projects, freelance, or professional work.
  • Adobe Creative Suite proficiency.
  • Hand sketching skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • SolidWorks and/or KeyShot.
  • 3D rendering.
  • Home décor interest.
